Saturday night Hector took me out to see the sights of Seattle nightlife. The evening started with peppermint schnapps and hot chocolate...mmm. After bar hoping around a bit we rounded up a bottle of tequilla and hit the Ave. We had the most amazing Thai food Ive ever had at Thai Tom's! Adventured to a few more bars, met some adorable characters and wandered the streets to see the rocket ship, Lenin and the Troll.
Sunday morning Hector and I went to Pike's Place Market to have some coffee on the pier and work off his hang over ;).
We met my Grandpa at Azteca in Tacoma and had a lunch full of traveling stories and catching up. Then took a walk through the festival lights in Spanaway Park. Bundled up with candy cane in hand, you couldnt help but let the Christmas spirit in.
The next day we adventured to the Tacoma conservatory to see the Chihuly exhibit.
Absolutely gorgeous. I've decided I must have a conservatory of my own some day! We strolled around the park and watched the squirrels munch down their acorns. I think a slight dusting of snow even fell. Had lunch at a deeeelicious vietnamese place and bubble tea for desert!
Later that night one of the adorable characters I met Saturday night took me out to dinner and drinks. We had a great time! They sure breed them different in the Northwest...
I spent the rest of the week looking through my Grandpa's old pictures and reliving old stories. It was fun to put together where my crazy blood came from. Its even better to have someone else to blame it on now! ;)
The cold air and rain was just what I needed to recharge my spirit! Ready to conquer the world once again and get my arse out of the desert...
